KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- She's known for her patriotism and gratitude. Last Wednesday morning she brought both to Community America Ballpark at Village West.
Janine Stange hopes to sing the National Anthem at events in all 50 states and can cross Kansas off her list. Stange sang the anthem Wednesday morning before the T-Bones game to make Kansas her 35th state.
The goal is not just about her, either. Each time she sings, she also sets up a table allowing people to write thank-you notes to troops. Each note is then added to a care package and shipped to members of the military who are deployed.
The T-Bones even won its game 8-to-5.
