UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. — A dog who only had a day left to live was saved by a woman perusing Craigslist.

According to FOX2Now.com, Liz Pendleton said someone posted a Craiglist ad on Saturday saying they were going to shoot their dog if no one took it by the end of the day.

“In the description, it said they had no use for the dog, and if no one came and got it they would shoot [it],” Pendleton told FOX 2 Now.

Pendleton hopped in her car and drove the hour-and-a-half from University City to Morrisonville, Ill., to get it. She said he is so skinny, his ribs poke out, evidence of neglect. Pendleton said she can’t keep him, but she didn’t want him to be shot either.

Pendleton said she notified police about the ad. She also named the dog Buck. Those interested in adopting him can email Pendleton at lizzy314314@gmail.com
