SHAWNEE, Kan. — A woman spotted a bobcat in her Shawnee neighborhood in the middle of the day. It happened near I -435 and 79th street.
Carol Koch said the cat was walking around in the middle of the day and passed right in front of her car.
“A large cat ran out across the street in front of me, and I stopped and watched him go under a neighbor’s bushes.” Koch said.
A wildlife specialist says bobcats in the Shawnee area aren’t necessarily uncommon, but they’re not usually out in the middle of the day.
