Make a difference and enjoy a delicious dinner complete with Scimeca meatballs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In 2011, 12-year-old Phillip Scimeca decided to start a game of wiffle ball to help the victims of the Joplin tornado. Six-years later, the game is still going strong and so are the proceeds. On Thursday, Sept. 1, Phillip’s father, Frank, and tournament coordinator Chris Thomas visited FOX 4 to share more on how the tournament has raised more than $100,000 for both people in Joplin and now other charitable organizations. As part of the tournament, there will be a spaghetti dinner. Frank showed off how to make his family’s Scimeca Meatballs.
