KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- As the weather gets colder you may be looking for hearty meals to make for the family. Todd Johns,  owner of Plowboys Barbeque visited FOX 4 to share one of his favorite winter entrées that he says has a lot of "wow factor." He also said they are opening a new location at 12th and Main in downtown Kansas City, Mo.


5 lb pork belly
1 lb mild Italian sausage
2T fresh thyme
2T fresh rosemary
2T fresh sage
5 cloves fresh garlic
Pinch salt & pepper
Zest of one Orange


Apply herbs, salt, pepper, and zest to meat side of pork belly. Spread sausage evenly across seasoned belly. Roll and tie with rind side out. Season outside once rolled with salt and pepper. Cook indirect at 350 degrees for approximately 90 minutes. When center of belly reaches 165, you are ready to transfer to direct heat to crisp the outer rind. Slice and serve.
