Really “wow” your guests this holiday season by topping desserts with a bourbon sauce

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Looking for a way to really "wow" your holiday guests? Beignet chef Bryan Merker says all you have to do to add a little zest to traditional desserts is drizzle a bourbon sauce across the top. Watch the video above for tips on how to combine all of the ingredients.

Bourbon Sauce


1 pound of butter
1 pound of brown sugar
1 qt. of heavy cream (40%)
1 oz. of vanilla extract
1 scraped vanilla bean
4 oz. whiskey 4 oz.
4 oz. slurry
