MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Kansas State Wildcats had hoped to make it two in a row over unbeaten teams ranked in the top 10, but the Baylor Bears had other ideas.

Baylor (16-0, 3-0) remained unbeaten with a 75-73 win over Kansas State on Tuesday night in Manhattan. The Bears were led by Perry Jones, who had 20 points. Senior guard Rodney McGruder had a game high 30 for Kansas State (12-3-, 1-2), and Quincy Acy and Brady Heslip had 13 points apiece for the Bears.

The Wildcats led by as many as 10 points in the first half, and by as many as seven points in the second half. But 20 turnovers committed by Kansas State made the job much easier for Baylor, as Acy scored five straight points to put Baylor up for good 74-71 with 2:22 to left on the game clock.

Kansas State had an oppurtunity to tie the game late, but couldn’t get a shot off as time expired.
