KC native Devin Lloyd goes to Jacksonville

KC native and Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 27th overall pick. Lloyd grew up in Kansas City before moving to California in high school. Lloyd was a first-team All American in his junior year at Utah.

Chiefs trade up for Washington CB Trent McDuffie

The Kansas City Chiefs traded their 29th overall pick for the New England Patriots’ 21st overall pick and selected Washington cornerback Trent McDuffie. The Patriots received the Chiefs’ 94th and 121st overall picks. McDuffie fulfills one of the Chiefs’ needs at corner and still have the 30th overall pick to go in the first round.

Eagles trade for WR A.J. Brown, Cardinals trade for Marquise Brown

The Tennessee Titans have traded star receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles for their 18th overall pick and 101st overall pick. The Titans took Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks with the 18th overall pick.

The Baltimore Ravens traded receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals for Baltimore’s 23rd overall pick and 100th overall pick.

Walker, Hutchinson, Stingley Jr. go 1-2-3 in first round

LAS VEGAS — Travon Walker is the number one overall pick of the NFL Draft going to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The edge rusher from the University of Georgia got some late buzz going into the draft that he would be the first overall pick and Jacksonville made those predictions true.

The Detroit Lions followed that pick with an edge rusher of their own in Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan. The Houston Texans chose LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. with the third overall pick.

LAS VEGAS — The 2022 NFL Draft kicks off with Round 1 on Thursday night, and FOX4 is covering all developments with teams in Las Vegas and Kansas City. Rob Collins and Russell Colburn are at the draft in Las Vegas, and Harold Kuntz is at Arrowhead Stadium for a Kansas City Chiefs watch party.
