KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Last Saturday’s victory over the Columbus Crew was a great confidence boost for Sporting KC, which hadn’t won a home game since May 5.
Kevin Ellis, a local product from Oak Park High School, made his MLS debut during the second half of the match. Last year, Ellis had ten appearances and seven starts in the MLS Reserve League. He played college soccer for Barton County Community College, and was a product of the Sporting KC Juniors Academy.
Sporting KC will be preparing for their next two matches this week. Wednesday’s match is at home against Vancouver, then its back on the road on Sunday against Chicago.
