The last time the kansas city royals played in baseball’s playoffs — the bBritish band dire straits topped the charts with “money for nothing.”

That was late September 1985 — a time that hasn’t been forgotten by Sara Swenson, a Kansas City based songwriter. Her latest record is gaining popularity — and telling Royals players the city is cheering for them. Sean McDowell has her story.
