Major League Baseball has announced suspensions and penalties for Tuesday night’s scrap.

MLB gave Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura a nine-game suspension, while Baltimore’s Manny Machado was handed a four-game suspension and a $2,500 fine for the brawl at Camden Yards.

Both players plan on appealing their suspensions and will be able to play until their appeal is heard.

Ventura and Machado got in the fight after the Royals pitcher hit Machado with a 99 mph fastball. The two faced off briefly before both teams’ benches ran onto the field.

Although the $2,500 fine is hardly a blip on the radar for an MLB player like Machado, Baltimore’s Adam Jones has decided to show his support for his teammate by saying he would be paying the fine himself.
