MLB releases ALDS start times for first 3 games as Royals wait for opponent

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Major League Baseball has announced start times for the first three American League Division Series games. The Kansas City Royals will play a best-of-5 series against the winner of the wild-card game between the Houston Astros and New York Yankees, which takes place on Tuesday night.


  • Thursday/Game 1: New York at Kansas City, first pitch at 7:07 p.m. OR Houston at Kansas City, first pitch at 6:37 p.m. Game airs on Fox Sports 1
  • Friday/Game 2: NYY/HOU at Kansas City, first pitch at 2:45 p.m. Game airs on Fox Sports 1
  • Sunday/Game 3: Kansas City at NYY/HOU, first pitch at 3:10 p.m. Game airs on MLB Network

If necessary, the Royals will play Game 4 on the road on Monday, October 12. Game 5 would take place at Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday, October 14. Both start times and TV networks have yet to be determined for the later games.
