KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals announced Tuesday that single-game ticket availability for potential World Series games held at Kauffman Stadium will be very limited, and the only way for any fan to purchase a single-game World Series ticket through the Royals for games played at Kauffman Stadium is to be registered online at www.royals.com/postseason for the online ticket opportunity.
Fans may register now through Friday, October 10 at noon CDT. Winners will be notified via the email address they used to register on or about Tuesday, October 14, and will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets per World Series home game. Due to the limited inventory for the potential World Series games played at Kauffman Stadium, the Royals will NOT hold an additional World Series pre-sale exclusive to Royals season ticket holders, as they have already be given the opportunity to purchase tickets for all potential playoff games.
Because the American League defeated the National League in the 2014 MLB All-Star Game, the American League representative in the World Series will host Game 1 (Tuesday, October 21), Game 2 (Wednesday, October 22), Game 6 (Tuesday, October 28 – if necessary) and Game 7 (Wednesday, October 29 – if necessary) of the 2014 Fall Classic.
In the event that a game is not necessary and, therefore, not played, all single-game purchases for that game will be refunded to the card on which they were purchased. The ticket holder will also receive a refund of the per ticket convenience fee. No refunds will be issued for played games for any reason. However, per order processing/shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
Please note that ticket pricing for all playoff rounds will vary, and all prices are set in conjunction with Major League Baseball.
