SURPRISE, Ariz. — The most often-asked question regarding the Kansas City Royals during the past offseason was: Do you think Alex Gordon could’ve scored if he had been waved home in Game 7 of the World Series?
Gordon ultimately came up 90 feet short of tying Game 7 after his triple. Salvador Perez popped out to end the Royals’ dream run through the playoffs only one win from the crown that the San Francisco Giants won.
FOX 4’s Al Wallace is at Spring Training in Surprise and had the opportunity to talk to the man who gave Gordon the stop sign, third base coach Mike Jirschele. See what he had to say about his fateful decision in the video at the top of the page, and watch for more Spring Training reports on FOX 4 News.
