KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Many Kansas City fans may know the Royals by names and faces, but what about numbers? On Tuesday FOX 4 talked to a five-year-old girl who knows the entire roster.

Five-year-old Kelsey Aciego loves to play games, loves her dolls, and especially loves her Royals. So much so that she can name the team’s entire roster by heart. She takes after her mom, Rebecca Aciego, who clearly remembers the glory of 1985.

“I thought I was going to marry George Brett when I was five years old, and I was going to grow up and play for the Royals,” she said.

Kelsey has no plans to marry her crush, since he's already married, but is on her way to being a Royals expert. She can list all the Royals by number when asked their name, and also can easily name the player when asked the number.

She started asking about the players when she was just four years old.

“She would crawl up next to you and ask ‘who's that mommy?’” said Rebecca.

That's a question she doesn't have to ask anymore. Kelsey says she also hopes to be a royals player one day.
